I Hear This Song Everywhere

Literally everywhere… it’s the Amharic (the language of Ethiopia, well the main one anyways, as there are something like 50 languages spoken here) version of a song called Nwa Baby (by a guy lamed Flavour… the original song is in Ibo, a west African language… and the faint of heart will not want to translate the words).  It’s a generally catchy pop song (especially cranked up on a good sound system) that I hear all the time while out in Addis… so take listen:

I’ll do a post on Amharic music another time, but I thought I’d put this song out there simply because it has become part of traveling here for me.
